First Day of Summer Solstice

June 21st is the official First Day of Summer, and the Summer Solstice. As well, it marks the first day of my favourite season of the entire year. Yay for summer! Hot days, warm nights, bbq’s, camping, hiking, and fishing. It doesn’t get any better than this!

Happy Father’s Day

Like most sons, one of my dreams is to make my dad proud. Knowing what I’ve done and what I have yet still to do, I am sure he is proud of me, and wherever he is, he will be even more proud of me still. Happy Fathers Day to all my Loyal Reader dads and dads-to-be!

To My Mom on Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is a day created to celebrate motherhood the whole world over. All of my Loyal Readers were brought in to this world by mothers, and many of my Loyal Readers will one day, if they aren’t already, be mothers. So do me a favour, grab your mom or a reasonable facsimile and give her a great big hug for me.

The May Day

In the past, May 1st used to be known as May Day and was celebrated in Eastern European Countries, in particular the former U.S.S.R., with military parades. Today it may not have as large of an impact on the rest of the world as it once did, but it is still a day worth remembering as those who fail to learn from history are condemned to repeat it!

Taxes Now Due

By midnight tonight, taxes are due for my American Loyal Readers. Although my Canadian Loyal Readers do have until midnight on the 30th, that is only a couple of weeks away, so either way, it is time to get them done and in.

April Fools Day

To help out my Loyal Readers, any hard to believe tech news stories coming out today, especially if Google the Search Engine was involved, may not necessarily be true as today is April Fools’ Day or April Fish Day. Just so you know, and knowing is half the battle.

1st Day of Spring

Today, March 20th, is the First Day of Spring, the Vernal Equinox or Spring Equinox. What does that mean for my Loyal Readers? Other than the obvious, that Spring is in the air, I’m not really sure.
